PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater having heat storage function in which minimum power rate can be lowered by reducing peak power. SOLUTION: The heater comprises a case 12 filled with a heat storage material 13, and an electric heater 14 for heating the heat storage material 13 wherein the entire surface of the case 12 serves as a heat transfer surface. Heat of the heat storage material 13 is transmitted through the heat transfer surface of the case 12 to the ambient air. When power supply to the electric heater 14 is interrupted in the time band of peak power and air is heated by heat prestored in the heat storage material 13, power for heating the electric heater 14 is saved. Consequently, the peak power, and thereby the contract power, is reduced and the minimum power rate can be lowered. |
