PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically aim an object detecting device at an object in the vertical direction. SOLUTION: An eccentric rotating member 34 is fixed to the lower part of a rotating shaft 14 which is rotated reciprocatively by means of a motor 15 and the upper part of a light transmitting mirror 13 is swingably supported by a supporting bracket 32 rotatably attached to the upper part of the shaft 14 through a spindle 33. Then the mirror 13 is engaged with an engaging section 34a provided on the outer periphery of the member 34 by biasing the mirror 13 by means of a biasing means 35. When a pair of stopper members 36 and 37 is fixed to the housing 15a of the motor 15 and the mirror 13 is brought into contact with one of the stopper members 36 and 37 by rotating the shaft 31 beyond the ordinary angle of rotation of the shaft 31, the engaging section 34a slides and the rotating member 34 rotates relatively to the mirror 13. Consequently, the lower part of the mirror 13 approaches or goes away from the shaft 14 and the vertical angle of the mirror 13 is changed.
