PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the labeling and analysis of uronic acid- containing polysaccharides, in which the uronic acid-containing polysaccharides can be measured with high sensitivity, specifically, precisely, with satisfactory quatitation and reproducibility, and in a simple manner. SOLUTION: A substance, which comprises a primary amino group, a hydrazino group or a hydrazide group and which is fluorescent or ultrasonic absorbent, is bonded to the uronic acid-containing polysaccharides so as to be labeled. The labeled polysaccharrides are isolated by means of liquid chromatography, so as to be analyzed and determibed quantitatively.
