PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space-saving type drying method and device capable of drying a washed object over the entire circumference equally. SOLUTION: A drying device is provided with a warm air ejecting means forming high-temperature atmosphere, a plurality of conveying means for conveying a washed object with the liquid content adhering to it, a switching means arranged between the conveying means to deliver the washed object to the next conveying means and for switching the attitude of the washed object, and a gas jetting means arranged at each conveying means to jet a gas toward the washed object. More than one conveying means has a vertical multistage constitution, and the conveying direction of the upper stage is reversed from that of the lower stage. The direct jet of the high-temperature atmosphere and the gas is repeated while the washed object is conveyed from the upper stage to the lower stage, and its attitude is changed many times. As a result, the entire circumference of it is equally dried.
