PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake shoe hold device for a drum brake which is excellent in attachability and has improved safety in attaching work. SOLUTION: An extension part 45 is formed in the direction of extension of a shoe hold pin 40 from a locking part 42 of the shoe hold pin 40, and the extension part 45 is set to the length to reach a seating groove 57 of a shoe hold spring 50 in a free state.
