PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fuel flow rate control device for a diesel engine capable of properly maintaining the accuracy of fuel flow rate and suppressing increase of harmful components in an exhaust gas by preventing wear of a rack pin. SOLUTION: In this fuel flow rate control device, a rack pin 3a is inserted in a space 6 between both opposed faces 5a and 4a of a slider 5 and the oscillating edge 4 of a governor lever 2a, respectively, and by catching the slider 5 with a stopper 7 provided on the governor lever 2a, the dimension L1 of the space 6 is kept larger than the diameter L2 of the rack pin 3a. Thereby, since the outer peripheral face of the rack pin 3a is rubbed against only one of the opposed faces 5a and 4a and also the contact pressure by an energizing force Sa of an energizing spring S is not applied to the above rubbing face, wear caused thereby is prevented.
