PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavator which enables walkthrough riding/leaving. SOLUTION: The excavator has a walkthrough passage on a swivel base, which is formed by laterally extending a portion immediately before a driver seat from one side toward the center and extending the portion from an almost central location of the swivel base in a frontward direction on the other side. Then, a walkthrough platform is overhung at a front end of the walkthrough passage, and an overhanging end of the platform is positioned on a virtual circular arc having a radius from the rotary center to a front end of a workbench mounting bracket.
