PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce occurrence of a double feed, by preventing a coefficient of friction from lowering down in an adding surface of paper. SOLUTION: This double feed preventing sheet 7 is interposed between left paper and added paper in case of further adding paper into a paper feed cassette 1 with paper left, one surface of the double feed preventing sheet 7 is a surface having a coefficient of friction larger than a paper surface, and the other surface is a surface having a coefficient of friction smaller than the paper surface. The paper is loaded so as to bring the surface of low coefficient of friction into contact with the left paper and the surface of high coefficient of friction into contact with the added paper, and in case of paper feed, an extended part 7a, 7a abuts to the rear end of a side fence 5, 5, to regulate movement, and friction force is applied to act between the added paper and the double feed preventing sheet 7.
