PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor showing both of high resolution and high sensitivity and to provide an electrophotographic device which uses the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer on a conductive supporting body and contains crystal type oxotitanyl phthalocyanine having such properties that the X-ray diffraction spectrum for CuKαcharacteristic X-ray (1.5418Å) shows main peaks at 7.3 deg., 9.4 deg., 9.6 deg., 11.6 deg., 13.3 deg., 17.9 deg., 24.1 deg., 27.2 deg. Bragg angle (2θ±0.2 deg.), with the overlapped peaks at 9.4 deg. and 9.6 deg. as the maximum peak and the peak at 27.2 deg. as the second highest peak. Further, the photosensitive layer contains X type nonmetal phthalocyanine showing peaks at 7.5 deg., 9.1 deg., 16.7 deg., 17.3 deg., 22.3 deg.. The electrophotographic photoreceptor is used for the electrophotographic device.
