PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for confirming a multiple frame structure and indicating a transmission diversity through a phase modulation of a forward pilot time slot in an NB-TDD(Narrow Band-Time Division Duplex) CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) communication system is provided to quickly search cells by discriminating a multiple frame using only four phase modulation angles. CONSTITUTION: A phase control unit(305) receives main information block transmission position information and determines the certain number of phase modulation angles by main information block transmission position information. I and Q channel phase modulation units(303,304) successively receive the certain number of the determined phase modulation angles from the phase control unit(305) perform the phase modulation of synchronous codes of transmitting sub-frames and sub-frames to be succeed to the transmitting sub-frames by a corresponding phase modulation angle among the phase modulation angles.
