CAMERA SYSTEM AND TAKING LENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system whose zoom lens is made more powerful and in which a control switch can be set in a taking lens further enabling complicated processing to be promptly practiced simultaneously in parallel. SOLUTION: This is the camera system in which the removable taking lens and a camera body are contained. The taking lens is provided with an electrically-driven means by which a group of mobile lenses are driven; a lens control means by which the electrically-driven member is driven and controlled; a switching means by which the lens control means is caused to execute a predetermined control action; and an input-output means by which the data containing that on the function of the switching means is input and output to and from the camera body. The camera body is provided with a body control means which is used to control the overall function in the camera system; and the input-output means which is used to put in and out the data to and from the lens control means through the input-output means. The lens control means and the body control means are mutually used to put in and out the data through the input-output means then actuated on the data which is input and output.
