PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the assembling property and the heat exchanging efficiency of a refrigerant pipe by a method wherein the mounting method of the refrigerant pipe capable of winding the refrigerant pipe around an ice making cylinder elastically under an unmovable condition, even in a winding configuration wherein pipes neighbored to the upper and lower side of the refrigerant pipe are brought to close contact with each other or another winding configuration wherein a requested gap is provided between the pipes, is provided. SOLUTION: In an auger type ice making machine A, the refrigerant pipe 2 is formed so as to have a spiral shape with an inner diameter L1 smaller than the outer diameter L2 of the ice making cylinder 1 and, thereafter, the refrigerant pipe 2 is expanded to fit the same to the outer periphery of the ice making cylinder 1 whereby the refrigerant pipe 2 can be wound elastically around the ice making cylinder 1.
