The concentration of aqueous dispersions of rubber and the like is effected by subjecting the dispersion to be concentrated to cooling, preferably whilst agitating, so as partially to freeze it and separating the liquid portion rich in rubber from the solid portion poor in or free from rubber. Alternatively the dispersion to be concentrated may be first frozen completely and then partly thawed. The dispersions so obtained may be further concentrated by repeating the process or by evaporating, e.g. by means of the apparatus described in Specification 255,014, [Class 70].
