PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact method and device for rapidly measuring electrodeposited film thickness in a wet state before curing by drying, to control an electrodeposition bath. SOLUTION: This method comprises projecting a laser light to a specimen on which a wet film is formed by an electrocoating in an electrodeposition bath, measuring a diameter of non-coated part and coated part of the specimen from change of output signals of the laser light, and calculating the wet film thickness from difference between these diameters.
