PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide glasses provided with a structural member composed of a metallic material having corrosion resistance more excellent than that of the conventional one and to provide a metallic material for glasses. SOLUTION: This glasses are provided with a structural member composed of a metallic material having a composition essentially consisting of Ag, containing, by weight, 0.1 to 4.9% Au and containing at least one or more kinds of elements selected from the groups consisting of Cu, Al, Ti, Pd, Ni, V, Ta, W, Mo, Cr, Ru and Mg by 0.1 to 4.9%.
