<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an endless wire rope capable of surely coming into surface contact with a sheave, improving a power transmission efficiency and reducing the production of noise during operation and suitable as a circulating type ropeway. SOLUTION: This endless wire rope is a flat-shape rope having a fiber core 1 in the center, core strands 2a having a nearly triangular cross section of 3×2+3 structure around the fiber core 1 and further 6 side strands 2b composed of >=7 side wires surrounding the core strands 2a and is obtained by removing the core strands 2a having the 3×2+3 structure of the strands 2 in end parts of the rope main part by a required length, inserting slender ropes 3 having a smaller diameter than that of the core strands 2a into the resultant cavities of the side strands 2b as specially installed cores, composing strands for connection, inserting the strands for connection into a cavity formed by removing the fiber core 1 by the prescribed length in the center of the rope and carrying out long splicing.</p> |
