PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor device capable of giving the sufficient driving force on the way of a circulating chain with an inexpensive standard chain without using a special chain such as a toothed chain and appropriate for an escalator having a large stairs height and a moving sidewalk having a long distance. SOLUTION: Plural treads 2 are connected to each other at both sides thereof in the cross direction by a chain 5 having pin rollers 5a, and moved for circulation along tread guide rails 4. A rotation driving device 6 is provided on the way of a circulation of the chain 5, and an eccentric crankshaft 8 to be eccentrically turned is connected to the rotation driving device 6. A rock body 10 is connected to the eccentric crankshaft 8, and the rock body 10 is provided with pin roller rolling gear teeth 11 having a trochoid tooth profile. When the rock body 10 is rocked with the eccentric turning of the eccentric crankshaft 8, the trochoid tooth profiles of the pin roller rolling teeth 11 are engaged with the pin rollers 5a with the rock of the rock body 10 so as to give the thrust for driving the treads 2.
