PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the quantity of developer as needed, irrespective of the manufacturing variation of a planar antenna itself, the manufacturing variation of a cartridge caused by the positional deviation of the planar antenna in a developer container and the variation of the device body factor, including the tolerance of an applied bias. SOLUTION: The output value of the planar antenna 6, obtained prior to the toner sealing member S for the process cartridge B is removed, is stored by a storing means 20 for the process cartridge B, then the toner quantity is measured after the process cartridge B is loaded to the device main body 14, and the toner quantity detection value by the planar antenna 6 is corrected by using the two values. |
