SOCKET STRUCTURE OF PIPE JOINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket structure with high productivity and at low cost. SOLUTION: A gum ring 20 is fastened on a projection 18 so as not to be peeled off by inserting a synthetic resin pipe 4. Fastening is easy in comparison with adhering, and there is no unevenness in degree of fixing. An O-ring 12 instead of a gum band is good at workability for fitting and hard to peel off (not to move) even by inserting a tongue into it and excellent in compressibility. When a recess 18a is formed at an end of the joint pipe 11 or a projection 18 to fit in a projection 23 for a socket gum band 20, the peeling is more securely prevented. The inside of an end of the joint pipe is gradually made from greater to smaller in the diameter so that a joint pipe 1 is smoothly fitted to the smaller diameter part due to the greater diameter part as a guide and connected with hardly bending. Furthermore the fitting end face of the other synthetic resin tube is positioned by coming in contact with the projection 15 in an end of the joint pipe 11.
