PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal driving method permitting to accelerate a response speed of a liquid crystal to one frame or faster, and to provide a high picture quality and inexpensive liquid crystal display device using the same. SOLUTION: One frame, which is conventionally driven, is divided into two fields to be driven at a double speed, in the 1st field, display data are corrected by a prescribed conversion method to calculate corrected display data and the field is driven according to the corrected display data, the 2nd field is driven according to the display data not operated by the above conversion, and in the 1st field, the response is thereby varied from display-off up to the brightness corresponding to the converted display data and in the 2nd field, the response is enabled to hold the attained target brightness and further, the resolution of the display data to be inputted are corresponded the resolution of a liquid crystal panel and the line is enlarged.
