PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for trapping, recovering, separating, or removing a target substance contained in an organismic liquid, by a method where the target substance contained, or possibly contained, in the organismic liquid is recognized by a polymeric material and taken into the polymeric material. SOLUTION: According to this method for treating the organismic liquid, a reactive compound is reacted in the existence of the target substance 'A' contained, or possibly contained, in the organismic liquid or an analog 'B' to the target substance common to or similar to a part or fragment of the target substance in at least one of chemical structure, size, or shape. From a substance thus obtained, the target substance 'A' or the analog 'B' is removed, thereby obtaining the polymeric material. The target substance contained, or possibly contained, in the organismic liquid is trapped, recovered, or separated by using the polymeric material.
