MEASURING METHOD OF POLARIZATION CROSSTALK OF OPTICAL COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method of the polarization crosstalk of an optical component capable of accurately measuring the polarization crosstalk of the optical component such as a polarization maintaining optical fiber having a polarization maintaining structure. SOLUTION: A polarization interference system is composed of a light source 1 and an optical component 4, and the fluctuation of power of the light emitted from the optical component 4 due to the polarization interference is measured, and then the polarization crosstalk of the optical component 4 is calculated from the fluctuation.
