PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the fuel injection of high accuracy in metering by ensuring a target valve opening period even in the change of the fuel pressure in a fuel injection device of an internal combustion engine wherein a current-carrying stop timing to a solenoid coil for valve opening is prior to a current-carrying start timing to a solenoid coil for valve closing, to close a fuel injection hole simultaneously with the stop of the current-carrying to the solenoid coil for valve opening. SOLUTION: The rise starting period of a valve closing power produced by the solenoid coil for valve closing is delayed by shortening an overlap time in accordance with the increase of the fuel pressure supplied to the fuel injection device corresponding to an operating condition of the internal combustion engine.
