PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an additive for recycling waste paper capable of improving bulkiness without deteriorating the strength of a recycled paper and to provide a method for producing the recycled paper. SOLUTION: This additive for recycling the waste paper comprises a condensate obtained by reacting a fatty acid with a specific nitrogen-containing compound or its salt. The method for producing the recycled paper comprises using the additive.
