<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high reliable fixing means for a rod integrator which does not use an adhesive and does not fall if a vibration is applied, and a high brightness image display apparatus without degradation of reflective efficiency. SOLUTION: The image display apparatus uses the rod integrator which uniformizes the illuminance of a light from a light source, and includes the rod integrators 1, 39 having the first side wall 2 and the second side wall 23 opposite to the first side wall 2, holding members 13, 40 having the first contact surface 14 butting with the second side wall 23 of the rod integrators 1, 39, and a leaf spring 5 having spherical protrusions 6, 7, 8, 9. When only the protrusion 6, 7, 8, 9 butted against the second side wall 23 of the rod integrators and the leaf spring 5 is fixed to the holding members 13, 40, the rod integrators 1, 39 are fixed to the holding members 13, 40.</p> |
