PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve focusing position detecting accuracy and user-friendliness. SOLUTION: This imaging apparatus is provided with a still picture pickup part 101 having an autofocusing function and a moving picture pickup part 106 having an autofocusing function. When taking the still picture, the pickup part 101 continues to search a focusing position by a climbing system, and also the pickup part 106 searches the focusing position by a total scanning system and supplies the focusing position detected by the pickup part 106 to the pickup part 101, then the pickup part 101 adjusts a focus in accordance with the focusing position supplied from the pickup part 106. |
