PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding material composition excellent in low friction feature enabling the continuous feeding of lubricant to a sliding section surface. SOLUTION: At least porous silica and a lubricant are blended into the base material of the sliding material composition, or at least porous silica impregnated with a lubricant is blended into the same.
