PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate the ink pad case of a recorder from a recording carriage by a simple method. SOLUTION: When the ink pad case 3 with which a recording pen is brought into contact is detached and exchanged from a recording carriage 2, the ink pad case 3 storing a plurality of colors of an ink pad 3b supported rotatably is set at a prescribed position, a separation lever shaft 11 attached to a separation plate 12 provided downward of the ink pad case 3 is operated through a separation lever 10, so that the ink pad case 3 is pushed upward to be easily separated from the bearing of the recording carriage, and pulled out vertically.
