PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image conversion panel capable of preventing lowering of sharpness caused by scattering and irregular reflection of laser light for excitation and improving brightness. SOLUTION: The radiation image conversion panel comprises a stimulable phosphor layer 4 consisting of material with Eu-activated BaFI as the main component by way of a reflection layer 2 and an underlaid layer 3, a protection layer 5 is formed so as to cover the stimulable phosphor layer 4 and the radiation energy absorbed by the stimulable phosphor layer 4 is discharged as stimulated light by excited light such as laser light. In each of the underlaid layer 3 and the protection layer 5, the specific coloring agent absorbing the excited light is included with a specific fraction. By setting the absorbance of the reflection of excited light in the reflection layer 2/underlaid layer 3 to be larger than the absorbance of transmission of excited light in the protection layer and setting the absorbance of the coloring agent in excited light average wavelength region larger than the absorbance in the absorbance in the stimulable luminescence average wavelength region, and setting the thickness of the stimulable phosphor layer 4 to be 230 nm or lower, both of sharpness and brightness are improved.
