PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel chimney lining structure in which cracks are hard to occur in monolithic refractories easy in work execution and its work execution method. SOLUTION: The steel chimney lining structure 1 is constituted of rock wool 4 which is provided, in contact with the steel material 3 of this steel chimney 2, inside the steel chimney 2, a welding pin 8 with a washer where a washer 7 is attached to the steel material 3, projecting inward, and monolithic refractory 9 which is provided in contact with the rock wool 4. Moreover, for its work execution method, the rock wool 4 is attached to inside of the steel material 3 of the steel chimney 2, and this is fixed later, using a welding pin 6 fitted with a washer so that it may pierce the rock wool 3, and then it is fixed later, using another welding pin 8 with a washer longer than the rock wool 4, so that it may pierce the rock wool 4. Then, monolithic refractory 9 is allowed to flow inside of this rock wool 4 and is fixed by iron coating or spraying.
