PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taper plug of high fittedness to a member to be fastened, and provide a screw fastening structure using the taper plug having a function to prevent leakage of a liquid. SOLUTION: This taper plug 1 has a corner 13, which forms a curved face expanding from a taper part 12 toward a flange 11 between them. The hole bored in the member 4 to be fastened has a corner part 41 formed of a protruded curved face. When the taper plug 1 is fitted into the hole, the corner part 41 is plastically deformed by a press force of the corner 13 and is press attached to it. Therefore, fittedness of the taper plug 1 to the member 4 to be fastened can be enhanced.
