PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detector for an infrared gas analyzer, which does not require replacement of the detector as a whole, when a failure is generated in a heating coil element, whose economic benefit is superior and which can reduce the measurement missing time as much as possible. SOLUTION: The detector consists of two gas chambers 14, 15, in which gases Gs indicating the same absorption characteristics as a gas to be measured are sealed and which are arranged in series with each other, with reference to a measurement cell 2, a gas passage 16 which makes the gas chambers 14, 15 communicate with each other, and a pair of heating coil elements which are installed as a flow sensor inside the gas passage 16. The detector is constituted so as to always apply a voltage across the pair of heating coil elements. A plurality of pairs of heating coil elements 17, 18 are installed inside the gas passage. A voltage across the terminals of the pair of heating coil elements 17 used for a measurement is monitored. When the voltage across the terminals lies outside a set range, the application of the voltage is changed over to the other pair of heating coil elements 18.
|
