<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freshness keeping packaging method for broad beans, in particular shelled beans, wherein the beans are difficult to brown and to alter in taste and nutriment. SOLUTION: Only edible broad beans removed with immature shells are hermetically packaged using a polymer film having fine pores with a thickness of 15 to 100μm. A carbon dioxide gas concentration in a package is higher than that of an atmosphere, and an oxygen concentration in the package is lower than that of the atmosphere after packaging due to breathing of the content vegetables themselves. Thus, the freshness keeping packaging method for the broad beans is provided.</p> |
