PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new adhesive spacer for a liquid crystal display plate and a method for manufacturing the adhesive such that sticking and aggregation among thermoplastic resin fine particles is prevented, the coating efficiency on a particle body is improved, thermoplastic resin fine particles not used for coating can be easily removed, and good dispersion property can be obtained when the material is used as a spacer for a liquid crystal plate. SOLUTION: The adhesive spacer for a liquid crystal display plate is prepared by coating at least a part of the surface of the particle body with a thermoplastic resin adhesive layer. In the above adhesive spacer, the thermoplastic resin to form the adhesive layer is deposited in the form of fine particles and by heteroaggregation with the particle body on the surface of the particle body.
