PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus, for the cleaning of a nozzle, wherein a through hole, for injection, which communicates with an air gap and a through hole for suction are bored in the wall of the conduit line of the nozzle, a cleaning liquid is injected from the through hole for injection, the liquid is sucked from the through hole for suction, the flow of the cleaning liquid in an annulus part is made fast and a physical cleaning effect can be enhanced. SOLUTION: In the cleaning method for the nozzle 3 which supplies a cooling liquid to a pressure vessel 1 in a nuclear reactor, the opening end part 50 of a tube body 32 at a cleaning head 31 is connected to the outer tube 11 of a safe end part 7 at the nozzle 3, a through hole 59 is then bored and formed in the outer tube 11 by a drill 34 installed at the cleaning head 31, and water 58 is injected into the annulus part 24 from the through hole 59 through the tube body 32. By using the cleaning method, the cleaning efficiency of the annulus part 24 at the nozzle 3 can be enhanced.
