PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner, capable of blowing air widely in a horizontal direction from an outlet by using a single drive motor provided in a side part of an interior of a main body adjacent to the outlet. SOLUTION: A connecting part 6 connecting a group 8 of horizontal wind-direction deflecting plates are divided into a first connecting plate 6a and a second connecting plate 6b, both of which are arranged horizontally with a stepped part A provided between them. The first connecting plate 6a comprises one side section with bushings (a), connecting one side group 8a of the horizontal wind-direction deflecting plates 8 and the other side section located lower than the former one side section. The second connecting plate 6b connects the other side group 8b of the horizontal wind-direction deflecting plates 8 at an upper position of the other side section of the first connecting plate 6a. Linking plates 6d and 6f formed continuously at ends of the first connecting plate 6a and the second connecting plate 6b, are respectively provided with first linking holes e extending in the front-and-rear direction and having the same length and second linking holes 6c and 6e connected to the ends of the first linking holes e and formed concentrically and continuously in a circular arc shape having different lengths, and are superposed vertically on each other. A drive motor 7b linked to the linking plates 6d and 6f is installed at the side part of the interior of the main body adjacent to the outlet.
