PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for confirming a multiple frame structure and indicating a transmission diversity through a phase modulation of a forward pilot time slot in an NB-TDD(Narrow Band-Time Division Duplexing Code Division Multiple Access) CDMA communication system is provided to quickly perform cell search by discriminating a multiple frame using 4 phase modulation angle. CONSTITUTION: A phase control unit(305) receives main information block transmission position information, and determines the certain number of phase modulation angle by main information block transmission position information. I and Q channel phase modulating units(303,304) successively receive the certain number of the determined phase modulation angle from the phase control unit(305), and modulate synchronous codes of transmitting sub-frames and sub-frames which succeed to the transmitting sub-frames by corresponding phase modulation angles among the phase modulation angles.
