PURPOSE: A structure for mounting a seat for an automobile is provided to prevent separation of rails by preventing deformation of an upper rail at the time of collision by a rear mounting bracket by supporting the upper rail through both flanges of the rear mounting bracket. CONSTITUTION: A structure for mounting a seat for an automobile includes supporting holes(36b) and flanges(40). The supporting holes are formed in both outer ends of an upper rail(36). The flanges are formed at both ends of a seat rear mounting bracket(30) fixed to a lower portion of a lower rail(34) and have supporting parts(40a) connected with the supporting holes of the upper rail. Because both side walls of the upper rail are supported by the flanges of the seat rear mounting bracket, the upper rail is not deformed.
