PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a perchlorate-containing composition, which is useful as an electrolytic solution or a conductivity-imparting agent, safely without danger of explosion, combustion and the like. SOLUTION: After or while adding and mixing an aqueous perchlorate solution with an organic medium such as organic solvents and organic polymers, the mixture is heated and dehydrated at a temperature of 60-200 deg.C under a vacuum of 0.1-10 pKa to produce a perchlorate-containing composition having a perchlorate content of 1-20 mass% and a water content of 1,000 ppm or less. Even if the perchlorate should be decomposed to evolve oxygen, the present water prevents the oxygen thus evolved from contacting the organic medium to prevent combustion from being promoted. |
