PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate an A/F value based on engine speeds Ne in start and just after the start to precisely control an air-fuel ratio just after the start based on the estimated A/F value, when a property of used fuel is determined as one other than that of heavy fuel. SOLUTION: The A/F value is estimated in the step S200 based on an average value of the speed Ne and aΔNe in increase of the speed calculated in the step S190, after a condition for control is satisfied. The estimated A/F value as a base is found based on the average value of the speed Ne, and a correction value for the estimated A/F value as the base is found based on theΔNe. A fuel increase and decrease correctionγand an air quantity increase and decrease correctionβare calculated in the step S210 in order to conduct control in a target A/F value based on the final A/F value estimated by this manner, to be reflected to the control.
