PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately diagnosing the morbid state of arteriosclerosis or a blood vessel endothelium lesion by using a marker with high specificity. SOLUTION: This method for diagnosing the morbid state of arteriosclerosis or a blood vessel endothelium lesion comprises the measurement of the concentration of serotonin in a specimen of blood plasma.
