PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unsaturated polyester-base curable resin of norbornene skeleton which has good impregnation to glass, thickening nature, thickening stability and good mold-release and makes a molded item having little color shading and segregation, as well as strong resistance to hot water. SOLUTION: A curable resin composition comprising an unsaturated polyester (a) of norbornene skeleton, polymerizable monomer (b) and alkyl succinic acid and/or alkenyl succinic acid (c), and a molding material containing the above curable resin composition.
