摘要 PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a double-sided microlens mold is provided to be capable of making high sag lens molds having a high accuracy, a high degree of uniformity and a nearly 100% fill factor. CONSTITUTION: A first mold base and a second mold base(82) each having a corresponding alignment feature and a corresponding insert flexibly mounted in the first and second mold base(82), are provided. The corresponding insert further includes a corresponding mold cavity and a pair of alignment features. Corresponding pairs of microlens molds(84) configured for fixed arrangement into the corresponding mold cavity, are provided. Each one of the corresponding pairs of microlens molds(84) is arranged into one of the corresponding mold cavity. The first and second mold base(82) are supported and arranged on a first platen(104) and an opposed second platen(106), respectively. A molten plastic is injected into the corresponding mold cavity. The first platen(104) is press-closed upon the opposed second platen(106) of the molding apparatus such that the microlens molds(84) are aligned in the first and second mold base(82). The molten plastic is solidified in the corresponding mold cavity to form a double-sided microlens.
