[Class 65 (ii)] Pivoting -adjustments.- A pivot for windows, mirrors and the like comprises a pair of members 11, 14, the former having a recess to receive an annulus carried by the latter, the annulus being split at diametrically opposite parts 14c and provided with a screw pin 15 screwed into one part of the split annulus at right-angles to the line joining the splits 14c and adapted to press on the other part to expand the annulus into frictional engagement with the socket. The head end of the screw pin 15 is accessible in the closed position of the window through a hole in the wall of the member 11. The splits 14c in the annulus may connect with peripheral slits 14d. The members 11, 14 may have fixing parts parallel to the axis of the pivot, as shown, or either or each of the members may have fixing parts at rightangles to the axis. One of the members may be provided with a separate fixing plate at rightangles to the axis, being attached to the plate by the usual undercut tapering tongue engaging corresponding guides. |
