PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter similar to an inflation catheter to be inserted in a living body for medical treatment, and either a catheter or a guide wire that can be exchanged even in the midst of treatment. SOLUTION: This catheter whose slim and long body has a terminal and a tip, an inner cavity receiving a guide wire that extends to the tip, a means at the tip of the catheter designed for in vivo treatment of a patient, an inner cavity for receiving a guide wire that extends from a marked edge to the tip through an inner portion of the catheter, the first guide wire port formed in the terminal of the catheter for establishing liaison with the inner cavity, the second guide wire port located in a fixed distance from the terminal of the catheter in addition to a slit formed in the catheter so as to reach the above inner cavity. |
