PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckle which is novel and excellent in functionality. SOLUTION: This buckle is provided with a pair of buckle component members 1, 2 which have a same structure and both one ends of which are arranged facing each other, fitting sections A1, A2 which are formed at the facing sections in the buckle component members 1, 2, and a fitting member 14 which is mounted detachably or fixedly on one of the fitting sections A1, A2 in the buckle component members 1, 2 and is fitted detachably into another of the fitting sections A1, A2 in the buckle component members 1, 2. A belt member is held to belt holding sections B1, B2 which are formed in another ends of the buckle component members 1, 2.
