A method of registering a series of at least three time-sequential images of an object, in which the discrete images to be registered by means of an individual imaging standard are transformed into registered images, in which to determine the imaging standard a measure-of-similarity (M) is used. To determine the imaging standard of the registered images a common measure-of-similarity of all the images is used.
