PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust structure in a nailing machine in which a head valve 8 is always smoothly operated. SOLUTION: In the nailing machine, an striking piston 3 is slidably accommodated in an striking cylinder 2 of a nailing machine body 1. A cylinder head 5 is disposed on a center upper part of the striking cylinder 2. An annular head valve 8 is disposed to be vertically movable around the cylinder head 5. The annular head valve 8 is selectively connects an exhaust passage 11, of which opening portions 10 between an outer periphery of the cylinder head 5 and an inner upper periphery of the striking cylinder 2 are formed between the inside of the head valve 8 and the outside of the cylinder head 5, or an air chamber 4 for storing the compressed air. Moving down of the head valve 8 closes the opening portions 10, and exhaust flows out of the exhaust passage 11. A guide wall 16 is formed to guide the exhaust flowing out of the striking cylinder 2 to be circulated into an O-ring 9a attached an upper end periphery of the head valve 8.
