PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine particle sorter for improving separation efficiency of fine particles and controlling characteristics with respect to particle size and particle size distribution of the fine particles at high levels and also to provide a fine particle separation/sorting process using the sorter. SOLUTION: This sorter is provided with a sorting gear 10 which has an upper surface 18, a lower surface 20 having a first circular opening 12, plural blades 22 for connecting the upper surface 18 and lower surface 20 to each other at the respective peripheries of the surfaces 18 and 20 and a component 24 which is fixed to the lower surface 20 with fasteners and used for forming a second circular opening 26 inside the first circular opening 12 and changing the diameter of the first circular opening 12.
