<p>A rotational damper, the damper comprising a housing (110) having an annular space (113) containing a viscous fluid (152); a cylindrical rotor (121, 131) accommodated in said housing (110) and which receives a damping action from the viscous fluid (152); an annular cap (140) provided independently of said rotor (121, 131) for retaining said rotor (121, 131) in said housing (110); a ring-shaped first sealing member (153) disposed between said rotor (121, 131) and said cap (140) and a ring-shaped second sealing member (154) disposed between said rotor (121, 131) and said housing (10, 110), wherein said cylindrical rotor (121, 131) is provided with a cylindrical head (131), said cylindrical head (131) having opposite ends and having a first hollow cylindrical portion (132) at one end side, said first hollow cylindrical portion (132) being passed through the central aperture of said annular cap (140); said cylindrical rotor (121, 131) includes a sencond hollow cylindrical portion (133) at the other end side of said cylindrical head (131), and a portion of said inner cyclinder (111) of said housing (110) enters into said second hollow cylindrical portion (133); said cylindrical rotor (121, 131) includes a damping cylinder (121) provided independently of said cylindrical head (131); and said second sealing member (154) is disposed between said second hollow cylindrical portion (133) and said damping cylinder (121).</p> |
